Used Honda City for Sale in Abu Dhabi

The Honda City is the cheapest new-car experience the UAE sells secondhand — a small sedan with a genuinely large boot, bought by first-time owners and anyone who wants running costs to disappear. We have 1 listed.

What to look over on a used Honda City

  • Quality of the panel repair — colour match and gaps.
  • CVT behaviour under acceleration.
  • Air conditioning at idle, not only at speed.
  • Service history, continuous rather than clustered.

Every Honda City we list comes with its CarSwitch inspection report. Read the bodywork pages first — on a car this cheap, repair quality is the whole difference.

Frequently asked questions

A used City asks around 27% less than a new City, which is the strongest argument for skipping the showroom. A 2017 averaged AED 17,000 in our closed sales. Live asking prices run from AED 39,500 for a late-2010s car up to AED 39,500 for a current-year one.

Bodywork history is the segment's story rather than this car's fault. 70% of the Honda Citys we inspect in the UAE carry previous paint or panel repair, against the 56% we would expect for sedans of the same age and mileage here — but the Toyota Corolla runs at 82% and the Toyota Yaris at 81%. Small cars in city traffic collect car-park damage, and the City actually comes through it better than its rivals. Judge the standard of the repair on the individual car.

The Yaris is the honest concession — it holds about 59% after five years, marginally ahead, and there are more of them to choose from. The Corolla holds about 58%, level with the City, and costs similar money for a bigger car. The Honda Civic is the step up in the Honda range if the budget allows.

2020 onward if you can. The City was fully redesigned for that model year — longer, wider, quieter, with a much better cabin and a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine driving through a continuously variable transmission. The 2014 to 2019 car is the bargain and mechanically sound, but it is a visibly older product inside, and the gap in asking price between the two generations is smaller than the gap in the driving experience.

Better than its class, at about 58% of its value after five years against roughly 55% for small sedans of similar age and price.
