The Chevrolet Cruze is one of the cheapest ways into a proper mid-size sedan in the UAE, bought by people who need four doors and cold air rather than a badge. We have 8 used Cruzes listed, clustered in the late-2010s cars.
How much does a used Chevrolet Cruze cost in the UAE?
Asking prices across our live UAE listings run from AED 9,500 to AED 14,500, all of them late-2010s cars — small-hatchback money for a sedan with a usable back seat and boot.
Which used Chevrolet Cruze year should you buy?
Buy on the right side of the redesign. An all-new Cruze arrived for the 2016 to 2017 model years — lighter body, better cabin, smaller turbocharged engines — a clear step on from the 2009 to 2015 original. Production wound down before the decade ended, so 2017 to 2019 is both the sweet spot and the newest you will find.
Is a used Chevrolet Cruze reliable in the UAE?
Budget for mechanical work and never buy one unseen: 83% of the Chevrolet Cruzes we inspect in the UAE show a fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, against the 29% we would expect for sedans of the same age and mileage in the UAE. The median example has 186,000 km on it. Almost every one carries previous body or panel repair — 97% against the 77% expected for UAE sedans of this age, with the Nissan Sentra at 87%. That is the class, not the car.
Chevrolet Cruze or Nissan Sentra?
The Corolla is far dearer for the same size of car and sells on faster when you are done. The Sentra is the closest match on money. Within Chevrolet, the Malibu is the bigger, dearer sedan to take if adults ride in the back.
What should you inspect on a used Chevrolet Cruze?
- Drive it cold, then warm — gearbox shifts and engine noise, on this car more than most.
- Panel repair is near universal, so judge the standard of the work rather than its presence.
- Every electrical item: windows, blower, dashboard warnings.
- Service history, continuous rather than a burst just before sale.
Every Chevrolet Cruze we list in the UAE comes with its full CarSwitch inspection report. Open the mechanical section first — that is where your negotiating room is.
