A Toyota Tundra costs less and is a full-size petrol truck with no plug at all. The Ford F-150 is similarly priced with a cleaner body and panel repair record than we would expect for the class, worth checking if that history matters most to you. The Shark 6 itself is a smaller, lighter truck than either — worth remembering if you are cross-shopping on payload rather than just price.

The truck we have inspected shows only light mileage so far, so there is little yet to say about long-run wear — treat the petrol engine and the hybrid battery as two systems that each need their own service schedule watched.
