The Audi Q8 is the flagship of Audi's SUV range: a lower, wider Q7 with two rows instead of three and the most presence of anything the brand sells. Buying used takes about 40% off a new Q8's price, with listings from AED 118,000 to AED 350,000.


What to look over on a used Audi Q8

Frequently asked questions

Plan on AED 118,000 for a car from the model's first years up to AED 350,000 for one from mid-decade. Specification swings that hard — air suspension, big wheels and the driver-assistance packs were all options.

The record here is as clean as we see on a big premium SUV. None of the Audi Q8s we inspect in the UAE have arrived with a fault in the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering, against the 12% we would expect for large SUVs of the same age and mileage here, and none show interior staining against an expected 23%. That is not a family trait: the Audi Q7 shows a mechanical fault on 35% against an expected 24%.

The Range Rover Sport is similar money and shows body or panel repair on 53% of inspections against the 65% expected for SUVs of its age and mileage here. The BMW X5 costs less and drives more sharply. The Q8 takes the inspection record and the interior.

2021 to 2023. The Q8 has only ever been one generation, launched for 2019 on the Q7's platform and refreshed for 2024, so there is no old-versus-new trap here and the model year buys kit and mileage. Cars from the early 2020s have taken the first steep drop and still have the current cabin.

Below its class, which is the case for buying one used — about 38% of its value after five years, against roughly 44% for large SUVs here and 43% across Audi. The Toyota Land Cruiser keeps 63% for similar money, so it is the stronger financial bet if a lesser car inside.
