The figure we can date: a 2023 Cayenne sold at AED 356,000. At the far end of the age range an early Cayenne is cheap to buy and not cheap to keep, which is the trap on this badge — judge any price against cars of the same year and engine.

Unusually well for performance cars: Porsches average about 56% of their value after five years across the models we can measure, better than most premium SUVs manage here.

The Cayenne is the family answer and the widest choice at any budget. The Macan is the better-driving, easier-to-park one and the pick if the car is mostly for city use. Step to the Cayenne S or the Macan S for the bigger engine, and take the 911 Carrera S only if a sports car is the whole point.
