Frequently asked questions

Stay within the recent range already on sale here — there is no older H6 generation circulating locally to avoid, so a newer car under remaining factory warranty is worth more to you than chasing a small saving on an older one.

A Toyota RAV4 costs similar money and shows less interior staining than we would expect for the class, worth a look if long-term reliability matters more than kit-for-cash. The Nissan X-Trail is another similarly priced alternative with fewer electrical faults than the segment norm. A Ford Edge can be had for less, though it runs a higher rate of electrical issues than we would expect here. The Dargo sits above the H6 in Haval's own range for buyers who want more equipment.

Cars we inspect sit at a median of around 36,000 km, still early in the car's life, and nothing in our findings so far points to a specific fault developing at that distance.

  • Turbo response and cooling under sustained UAE summer heat.
  • Suspension and steering feel over rough surfaces.
  • Infotainment software and update availability.
  • Remaining factory warranty and whether it transfers to you.

Compare the H6 against the RAV4 and the X-Trail on CarSwitch before you decide — the live range makes the price gap clear.
