A 2023 CX-9 averaged AED 63,000 in our UAE sales and a 2021 AED 56,000. Live asking prices run from AED 19,500 for a late-2010s car up to AED 19,500 for a recent one.

The mechanicals hold up; the panels do not. 73% of the CX-9s we inspect in the UAE show evidence of prior body or panel repair, against the 64% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage in the country. The second-generation CX-9 arrived for 2016 with a 2.5-litre turbo replacing the old V6, and was updated in 2021 with a better interior and revised suspension before the CX-90 took over. The last cars are the most complete version of a finished nameplate; 2016 to 2018 examples are the cheapest way into a seven-seat Mazda.
